C. Alexander Häusler was
born and raised in the south of Germany. He studied
sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Germany and architecture at the TU in Munich, Germany and at the Harvard Design School.
He has taught design and
drawing at several architecture schools in Germany
and he has taught design and history of
architecture at the Harvard School of Design. He
has worked as architect and did several exhibitions
in Germany and the US. Since 2002 he is living in
the Unites States.
Currently he is working on his
painting series IMMANENCE, on the transformatory home objects
Bric-A-Brac and on theorizing the role of art
and architecture in society by investigating the
active role of art and architecture in cultural
conventions.
