SPACE-BREATHING is a video installation that projects two opposing walls. On the one side actual video footage of a corridor is projected. On the opposing projection one can see the simulated version in a basic computer animation. Both projection operate as a representation of reality which recreate a visual effect.
Like the “Vertigo-effect” the footage keeps the immediate foreground stable, while the lens changes from zoom to wide-angle During this shot the actual standpoint of the camera moves back and forth.

The space starts to expand and reduce. The effect is a motion of an actual static environment.
