Re-directing is an investigation on the catalytic momentum of architecture in urbanism.

Abstract objects out of clay, wire, wax and wood investigate spatial relationships in their continuities. Solids and hollows become inter-depending entities which define each other, but are not able to explain each other. The experiential character of the generated spaces reveals slowly the conceptual generating principle.

A series if models describe spatial relationships which are manifested in their making. Wires through a solid, continuous object and its negative leftover space or wax covering anamorphic shapes; these models describe the inherent character of a non-orthogonal urban structure. In a non-cartesian system urban logics are created out of an experiential understanding. The suggested architectural objects invest in the transposition of the experiential logic as catalytic generator for the re-directing of interests and structures on an urban scale. How can neighborhoods be physically re-defined for their users and inhabitants to create a participatory understanding of ownership.
